I think the first thing means that anything following might not be exactly true to life. I thought it had some of the same issues as some of the other ones (annoying human characters, not enough robot screentime, an adequate but not terribly engaging plot), but it made up for it in genuinely heartfelt moments between Charlie and Bumblebee, surprisingly solid action (the Dropkick vs Bumblebee fight is one of my favorites in the whole series), and it was efficient in its storytelling, so even though the robots weren't onscreen as much as I'd like, when they were, they made the best use of that time.
